Welcome to 2016.

Would it not be wonderful if our countries all over the world can experience peace and calmness? Can't the world ever go back to the way it was? Is a little extra from you and I too much to ask? what exactly went wrong? where is the love? at what point did we the human race turn to chaos? how blind have we turned to see that the ones we hurt are you and me.

A little care from you and I will sure make a difference in our immediate environment. Starting from home, schools, offices and places of worship. Let's save our world and save ourselves. Let's create a better environment for which you and I truly need.
You and I can make the world a Beautiful place to live in. my prayer for 2016, is for Allah to bless us all with long life in good health and most importantly, for the world to be at peace. Happy new year to you all. welcome to 2016.

When hubby comes home from work. #justl'maril

So when your man comes home from work how do u greet him?
When he comes home from that long day of work I guess you greet him with smiles, hugs, kisses and massage huh? Not like a full blown massage, more of rubbing his shoulders and back over his clothes to lossing the stress from the hard day at work is what I mean.

All women should know this pls. You better make sure you have your man's drink waiting on him before he walks through that door. There is no greater way to help a man unwind from his long day than a glass of chilled drink waiting on him. It could be something as simple as home made  fruit drinks. Of course pressent him his drink along with a kiss if you know what I mean.l
If your man had a bad day at work and he is angry and ready to go crazy, girl you better get your crazy on and make him forget that bad day. Let him feel your love and appreciation. When he arrives home is time to eliminate all the noise. Things like washers, TV or vacuum should be a no no at the time of hubby's arrival. Put your phones away and give him your full attention. Even the kids should know that when daddy is home they are to be quiet or less noisy.
Most men are hungry when they come home so have his dinner ready and waiting. Always dress up sexy at the time of hubby's arrival. Pull your hair down and be fresh looking, interesting and entertaining. Turn on music if that's one of his pleasures and give him the cutest dance show ever, that will definitely lift up his spirit. But allow him to rest after.
Sometimes though, when the two of you as a couple are in a fight and you are still angry after the fight, you dont feel like pleasing him, you probably want to strangle or constrict his neck because you are not happy with him. lolz! Yeah i get that. But here is an advice, never ever take any fight between the two of you seriously that way you will be able to handle the situation really well.
Even if you find your husband cheating, yes punish him. But dont forget that men are polygamous in nature and at the end of the day you want to be that one woman he cant compare to another. Also remember you are a team, so you should still try to make things work. Show your power as a woman, the soft, soothing and pleasant side of you shouldn't disappear. Your husband will respect you for that and he will be forever sorry for hurting you plus your relationship can only get better.
And then he will want to come home everyday because he rather be with you than anyone else in the world. You want him to be on your side but not by pressure or moral obligation.
The goal here is to make your home a peaceful place where both of you can enjoy each other and your husband after a long hard day at work, can renew himself in body and spirit.
Good luck !
Note: NO woman is perfect, I am not either. This is #justl'marilsaying.

Drop that zero and get you a hero.

Ok so that sweet tooth and the cravings of things we are aware is doing harm to the body. We all know we shldnt be eating junk foods but for some unknown reasons we keep eating anyway. And sometimes we want to stop but we just don't know how to.
What's with the belly fats?ughhhh! And the chubby cheecks, yugkhhhh! Belly fats got to go because I need my sexy back.
So today I decided to "drop the zero and get me a hero".

Join me in the 90 days challenge, starting today 20/12/2015.
To work out as much as i can mornings and or evenings, yes am determined to stick to it.
A glass of water first thing early every morning, and as much as i can daily, to get the toxic out of my system.
Salads, fruits, beans, sweet potatoes, fish, boild plantains. These are basically what's on my diet list.
Fatty foods and junks Such as....
Fries, pizzas, burgers, ice creams, or any dairy products at this point is a hell NO! NO! For this challenge.
I am going to take control of my life and live the healthy way because I say so. This is my attitude for the 90 days challenge and am changing steps to turning this attitude into action.

I've set aside a goal of at least 6000 steps every morning, and yes I sure did achieved it this morning. And  there is a photo down here to prove it.
So who's with me? Let's do it.
Note: I am not a proffesional on dieting , weight loss or healthy leaving. I am just l'maril with the drop that zero and get you a hero challenge. *winks

Masa #yumyum

Masa is a Northern delicacy that is routinely eaten in the northern part of Nigeria. It is made out of rice and other ingredients traditionally made into an oval shape.  It is very common serving masa in weddings and naming ceremonies in the north.
Masa is usually served with a kind of  vegetable soup called 'taushe' or sometimes eaten with 'yaji' a mixture of dry papper and spices blended into powdered form. In my household, masa is served as breakfast especially during the weekends or as snacks in between meals. This is a tradition in most households too.
So like every other saturday, today we had masa for snacks but not the typical traditional way, i added a little bit of modern twist. I made a grilled chicken shredded with a lot of onions as a filling for the masa. I sliced each masa half way and filled it up with the delicious chicken filling i made and yes The kids loved it they couldn't  stop asking for more.

The spirit of giving

Charity is preached in every religion of the world. We all have the spirit of giving in us. We try to give out some portion of what we have to parents, relatives, neighbours the poor and the debilitated.

If you are a true believer of you religion, you are always prepared after meeting the needs of your family, to also assist those in need of your help. Because every religion preaches charity.

The spirit of kindness and well wishing is the essence of charity and the giver does not expect any  reward from the beneficiary. In islam charity (zakkat) is the third pillar of Islam. It is an obligation for those who received their wealth from God to response to those members of the community in need.

Today's CD day was amazing, myself and my CD group members paid a visit to 2 charity homes. Some of the stories we were told moved most of us to tears, but the overall experience was so amazing and really inspiring. It made me want to go on more charity trips.

There was this little babay  I fell in love with? She's Deaf but her smiles was breathtaking and her eyes sparkles. Instantly i felt I wanted to take her home with me. But who knows, I could go back for her. Lolz!

Let's keep on giving. The more you give, the more you get. When you take care of others God takes care of you
