Being a mum

No one says being a mum is an easy job, But I tell you it's a beautiful one. When you are a mother your life changes in a beautiful way.

I love waking up in the middle of the night checking up on my kids in their beds. I do enjoy waking up in the morning fixing their breakfast and packing up their lunch bags. I get a little crazy with the mess they make around the house and the headaches they give me sometimes. But I wouldn't have it any other way, I love every minute of there being around. And I know most mothers will relate to this.

Sometimes i step in their world a little bit and joins in with the running around the house and all, I found out how good it felt and how much fun it was especially for them.
So I learned to accommodate the mess they make around the house a little bit more.

Watching them grow and seeing how different personality each kid has is an amazing experience.
When you are a mother,  you naturally become a better person. You always want to be good at whatever you do. I love my babies and i always pray to God to guide and protect them always. My life right now as a mum I wouldn't change it for anything.

Eid celebrations

The days of eid have been singled out in the hadith as the days of remembrance.
Eid celebrations includes firstly offering salat, gathering of family and friends, meals especially lunches and late breakfast (brunches), wearing new cloths, gift giving, giving gifts/money as a token of love.

There is also sacrifices of usually, sheep, cow, buffalo or camel.
Donating one third of the sacrifice meat to family, friends and neighbours  also to the poor and needy.
Eid celebrations in arewa is the best. It's always the best time for family to come together and celebrate with one accord. Every one gets so busy putting together what to wear, some henna designing going on here and there the spirit of eid is so amazing in the north.
As a child we all get so excited everytime Eid festivals approaches. It is one of the best memories I have of my childhood.
I say Eid mubarak to all the Muslims out there.

Migraine days.

Ok so today I woke up with migraine. Usually When migraine strikes I just stay up in my room, sit quietly in the dark as i check my blood pressure and massages my hair with one little hand massager I got from India.
Sometimes i wish I could just get out of lagos and move to Algeria or something. Lolz!
Today reminded me of way back when I was in school and I complained  about a whole lotta things like Migraine, ulcer, and stuff like that. One of my teachers I cnt remember her name but we use to call her 'they didn't barb your hair' they reason why we called her that was because of an incident that happened where we got our hair cut by the school authority because we didn't braid which was against the school rule.

So because of the nature of my hair,  a weak after the hair cut my hair grew back. So she will call me every time, looked at my hair and she will say 'they didn't barb your hair'. ๐Ÿ˜€then we started calling her that. She always told me I complained to much because I am lazy and if I keep doing that,  no one will marry me. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜ƒ so today as I complain about ulcer, migraine and all, made me remembered her and I wonder where she is now. Am also realising that I've always been like this.?๐Ÿ˜ฎ
